Masterworks: Unpacking Fashion

Masterworks is the new show that just opened at the Metropolitan Museum of Art
in the Costume Institute.

Not sure what to expect from this exhibit? I was imagining dresses and unpacked boxes but this
is a most amazing show.  Masterworks is beautifully curated with garments from the 1700's to current day.

Halloween in NYC

My favorite shots from last night. We started towards 16th Street where the parade finished.
Saw an ice cream cone, a tall man with an adorable dwarf costume, Beetle Juice, and more

Bill Cunningham

Whenever I saw Bill Cunningham in the crowd I knew I was in the right spot. He seemed to have an internal magnet and barometer for celebrities, socialites and the avant garde. I'm going to miss his blue coat, his smile and his great eye for fashion.

Here are some of my shots of Bill before the show started.

A Belt Inspired By Nature

This past month Mike Edelman of Ladies of Iron and Astrid of Astridland
collaborated on a tree branch inspired bronze belt.
Inspired by nature and very rock & roll, it's based on trees from Central Park.
It was so much fun creating this piece together.

Below is the original sketch and the belt made of bronze.
It's stunning on and fits really well due to the hinges built in.
It's very comfortable and features leather ties at the front.
