Crowbot Jenny

Crowbot Jenny is a girl that prefers communicating with crows. The
exhibit at the Modern Art Museum explores the intersection between
feminism, technology and pop culture. I found it so interesting that
specialists in crow intelligence have found that crows can communicate.

Also loved the hat and gloves!

The exhibit is now closed but this holograph perfectly
captures the beauty of the clothes.

Fashion Illustration

I went to see a demonstration at the Society of Illustrators
featuring Bill Donovan and Carlos Aponte

I love the illustrations using tape and cardboard by Carlos Aponte.
He uses found materials and gets such a great feeling out of the poses.

Bill Donovan is a genius with finding shapes.
I usually start out with a line drawing and watching him
go right to silhouette was refreshing.
He makes it look so simple and fun.
I love his dramatic brush strokes and am hoping to expand my
work by referring to these great artists.
