astridland on BRAVO: featured in new reality series

My dress is playing in a promotional loop for NYC Prep Bravo's soon-to-debut series.

From the supima blog:

"As a voiceover introduces the concept of a show about teenagers who live a fashionable, glamorous life in New York City, a model wearing Astrid Brucker's undercover evening gown ... and strides down the Gotham Hall runway.

Best of all, the promotions run most often during the middle of Bravo's "The Fashion Show" hosted by Isaac Mizrahi, to play to the fashion-faithful. "NYC Prep" premieres Tuesday, June 16 at 11 p.m. ET/PT and will move to its regular timeslot on Tuesday, June 23 at 10 p.m. ET/PT."

Yesterday was my first fitting for the Supima runway show.
I'm showing two evening looks.

The first dress is inspired by my trip to Marrakesh, a black cotton knit undercover dress with my black chain jewelry. The second, my diva twist dress is inspired by traveling on Air India and watching Slumdog Millionaire.


My denim goddess gown from last July is in silhouette on the invite!

Finalist for Supima competition

There's a new Supima Runway Competition and
I am one of the finalists.

I am designing two new evening wear looks; one in a
black cotton knit and the other in a lovely deep red cotton knit.

Both are for Fall 2009 and I'll be adding them to my web site

The show takes place at Gotham Hall in NYC on January 14th.
